Helen Mountaniol is an award-winning independent photographer based in Tel Aviv, Israel. Wandering and exploring the globe in an endless search of narratives, her works offer an extensive approach of the anthropological quest. Using a sophisticated visual hook, Hellen deals with a wide range of traits as she grips the viewer’s attention to offer a different approach upon the social order and human rights.

Helen was born in 1976 in the city of Dnipropetrovsk, Ukraine. She came to Israel in 1990, already dreaming of a career as a photographer. Her first approach towards professional photography came later though, more than five years ago, when she decided to devote her life for storytelling and scheduled a one-year trip around the world. It was then when she first came in touch with the mixture of colors and shades as they unfolded their faces towards her lenses. When Helen came back, she went on with her professional studies and was accepted to the Technion, where she mastered studio and fashion photography. Among her clients were Microsoft Israel and Israel Oceanographic & Limnological Research institute.
