The Silence Between Us

Tintype photography

Find what you love and let it kill you.
— Charles Bukowski

Eurydice walks alone, descending through the darkness, haunted by the memory of the one she loves. She is a shadow, a silhouette, a faint reflection. But still, she walks on.

The unpredictable nature of the wet collodium process is like the unpredictability of love itself. We can never truly know what lies ahead, and yet we are drawn to it with a fierce and unrelenting passion. Just as each tintype plate is a unique and imperfect creation, so too are our relationships. Each photograph captures a moment frozen in time, a glimpse into the hidden narratives that lie just beneath the surface of our lives. The scars, the bandages, the veils - all of these are symbols of the pain and beauty that we experience in our most intimate relationships.

In this series, I explore the silence that separates us, the longing for connection that can never be fully realized. And so we walk on, through the darkness and the light, in search of connection.
